- Protects sensitive electronics from power line surges
- Solar Assist extends available battery backup time
- Powered from combination of solar and grid power
- Several POE voltages available (12V, 18V, 24V and 48VDC)
The UPS Pro Remote Power Systems with Solar Assist are designed for applications that require a backup power source to provide uninterrupted service to customers in case of AC power failure. The integrated 10W solar panel provides additional power to extend the available backup time. The systems can be used as standalone power sources for devices up to 2.5W continuous. The batteries are charged using the integrated solar panel, with the included Power Over Ethernet power supply or a combination of both. The controller gives the solar panel priority so when the sun is shining, grid power isn't being used.
The controller has a protected output which is equal to the battery voltage and also a POE output which can be 12V, 18V, 24V or 48V POE from a 12V battery system. The controller also features a built in POE inserter and it provides over-charge and over-discharge protection to ensure longer battery life. The batteries used are high quality valve regulated sealed lead acid AGM batteries with an expected life of 5 years.
The solar panel is a high efficiency polycrystalline sealed panel with tempered high transparency glass and a 25 year output warranty.
It is mounted directly to the enclosure with a unique adjustable tilt bracket system. This make the entire package very compact, saving precious space on a tower. The enclosure can be pole or wall
mounted.
There is generous space provided inside for customer electronics.
A typical 250mW wireless access point with average power consumption of 3.5W will run 26 hours on a 9AH battery at room temperature or 17 hours at -20 deg C.
NOTE: The base system ships without controller or batteries. Please select controller POE voltage and battery capacity options below. Each 9AH battery can supply enough backup power to power a 3.5W load for 24 hours or 7W for 12 hours. The integrated solar panel can extend the backup time by more than 25%.
